August 13, 2023 - Yesterday, in accordance with the 13th anniversary of the PSP Cult Classic Corpse Party: Blood Covered... Repeated Fear, Team GrisGris and MAGES announced a new installment in the series titled Corpse Party II: Darkness Dimension and this announcement made it seem that Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient will forever be dead and in development limbo.
However, Shin Kedoin, the series story and screenwriter tweeted this as a follow up to the announcement:

And there we have it. While many fans are still waiting for the new chapters of Dead Patient, a lot of them were saddened by the announcement yesterday, but this sadness was quickly reverted after the confirmation that Dead Patient is still happening.
